My Story: From Zero to 7-Figures Hero
I thought I should share my story of tragedy and triumph, the quick version. My guess is that you can relate in some way. My hope is that it somehow inspires you in your own real estate business.
I grew up a skinny kid with big dreams. I somehow always knew that real estate was the way I was going to get wealthy, but when I graduated from high school I did what so many of us do (far too often). I put my dreams on hold to do what everyone told me was the responsible thing to do.
My first adventure led me to the Navy. My whole life I've been a little bit of a nerdy guy, so when I enlisted I fit right in as a technician. While my career on the Navy was rewarding, the truth is that I may have been one of the worst seaman ever. I literally got seasick my first 14 days on the boat. Seriously, I puked my guts out for 2 straight weeks. I think that is still a standing U.S. Navy record.
When I got back to land I thought the right thing to do would be to go to college. Again, I gained a lot from the experience, but it was safe to say I wasn't the big man on campus. I studied hard, got good grades school and ended up graduating magna cume lade. Despite keeping my nose in a book and spending over $100,000 on tuition I came out the other side with nothing more than a general accounting degree. It looked like I was destined for the rat race.
Fate would have it that right before I graduated I ran into an old buddy. Honestly, this guy wasn't a rocket scientist or a brain surgeon (or a rocket surgeon or brain scientist for that matter). That's why I was so blown away to hear that he was flipping houses and making crazy amounts of money doing it. He even made over $100,000 on just one deal! I thought to myself "If he can do it, I can do it!"
As soon as I graduated I took the little bit of savings I had and went out and bought a fixer upper. My first house! Unfortunately, I spent all the money I had since this was before I knew about no-money real estate. I also made the mistake of not taking the time to educate myself. I just tried to wing it out on my own. The result? I lost my shirt on that first deal!
I was so devastated I quit real estate, tucked my tail between my legs and took a job as a bookkeeper. And while I sorta knew working in a cubicle was going to stink, I had no idea just how much I was going to dread it. As hard as I tried to enjoy balancing someone else's books, the truth is I was miserable. I'm a dreamer, and dreamers should build their own dreams, not someone else's.

I thank goodness that my same buddy reached out and practically forced me to give real estate one more shot. He took me to one of those big real estate conference, and let me tell you, I was kicking and screaming the whole way. But it was at that conference that I bought a few courses and truly began to educate myself. It was also there that I found my first mentor.
I learned about the magic of no-money down real estate. I learned how to put together win/win real estate deals and how to generate leads. I scraped every dollar I had after buying all that training to get a website and send out some post cards. And you know what....
It worked! I made over $40,000 cash profit on my very first real estate deal, all without having to get a loan or use any of my own credit.
Since then I have worked hard to perfect the systems that run my real estate business. I don't like to brag, but I've now closed well over 500 deals and made well over a $1 million dollars in profit in multiple years. Needless to say, I'm glad I stuck with it!
I'm still an active real estate investor flipping houses, but now I also buy and hold property and use several other creative real estate strategies (even invented myself called the Reverse Short Sale).
What I am most passionate about now is teaching others to have the financial success and time freedom that I have been able to enjoy. In fact, that is why I created the free 7 day video series below.
